The Scared Snail

I’m Gregory and I’m scared because I just want friends and the only person that I can actually talk to is my mum. My shell is very big but empty as well. I’m not very good at looking for friends because I’m always hiding in my shell.

But one day, someone came to my shell and said, “Is anybody there?”

And I said, “Yes”. It was when I heard that voice for one second, I talked to myself that if I ignore them, when am I going to know if they will be my friend?

Then, when I came out of my shell, my shell disappeared and then there was glitter all around me. I felt weird but then, for a second, I turned very smooth. Then I turned into having this shell. Then I was longer than usual and I had four legs.

I didn’t know how to use legs, so I fell down at the start. Then I got the hang of standing up and balancing. Then I was very happy because I had a lot of legs that I didn’t have before, and I could fly.

The friend said, “You look very nice.” My face turned different, and I had longer antennae.

Then I visited my mum and she said I looked very nice.
